Property Overview

Breezy (literally) heritage stay in an erstwhile armed fortress, away from the tourist hubs

Not much would’ve changed since the 17th century for Fort Tiracol on the northernmost tip of Goa, where the views are concerned. The only difference? The armed guards and soldiers of the fortress are now replaced with guests from all over the world, who want to see Goa with another eye and in style. As one of the most popular destinations of India, Goa is often equated with sun, sand, beach and beer, and not its tremendous heritage value. Staying in Fort Tiracol changes that immediately at this faraway location.

The suites and rooms surround a church in the central courtyard, as their windows look out to dramatic views of the sea. The Portuguese remnants in the architecture reflects in the décor and furnishings of the rooms as well. With only seven rooms, the property is delightfully quiet and great for those looking for some isolation. This is barring the restaurant and bar, where outside guests can also visit.

Both homely and breathtaking, Fort Tiracol has the ability to make you time travel into a historical era with all the modern amenities of today. amongst the activities near Fort Tiracol, spend time coast cruising, fishing with a local fisherman or going to the nearby beach and relaxing.
